I confess. Prior to hearing about SEO applications and site promotion field, I thought Google was perfect. I Used Google to look for anything from friends, to photography, to current events to odd gadgets and naively trusted the findings. Then I learned about SEO tools and a whole business specializing in website marketing, and my beliefs were never the same. But even before my revelation, after doing a bit of philosophical analysis, I got a feeling that search engines, Google included, know far from everything, and pass on to the web community even less than what they know.

My search experiences soon persuaded me that Flikr is a more comprehensive image data bank, that with the help of Digg I can access great news stories without the need to rummage through Google search results (rummaging is more descriptive than Google search), and human search is better handled by Facebook. It seems that whenever I look for weird objects on Google, the results are almost always inaccurate, to put it mildly. Try Googling for SEO programs and other SEO relevant subjects on Google and you are almost ready to lose your patience. I mean, seriously, what’s the connection between SEO products and employment webpages or Internet casinos? Turns out in my distress.

And there are up to one thousand businesses on the Fortune roll! But here is something else that irks me and other backlinks checker users, I am sure. There are individuals who buy SEO products and use them to sell dresseson online education sites and such. What we have is junk that not only lives on the Internet but is also highly positioned by search engines.

What is the user reaction to this? People search for SEO product reviews and will instead find junk search findings. They get disillusioned. So much for the “Internet justice”. Does this imply that SEO program and service field is harmful? Probably not.

The abusers of SEO programs have to stop polluting the Internet but it’s like ordering hackers to stop hacking. The unfortunate side about it is that black hat SEOs are abusing the chance to be seen on the Web that is offered to the little person like myself. For now people just have to live with them. We can only hope that Google will put more emphasis on finding the schemers unethically using SEO software, and if Google doesn’t, the big search engine will.
